The Australian Journal of Dementia Care is a multidisciplinary journal that will bring you news, research reports, features on aged care organisations and programs, product reviews and much more.
In this first edition, we take a close look at the introduction of Laughter Bosses and Elder Clowns into residential aged care.
This issue also contains a welcome by Mark Butler MP, Minister for Health and Aging; and an article on environmental design by Kirsty Bennett, including a report on a remarkable project that has seen 70 residents collectively cover the distance of Australia’s coastline, and an overview of an iPhone app that helps in making decisions about refurbishment and cutting-edge research on managing pain in people with dementia.
