The South Australia and Northern Territory Dementia Training Study Centre is funded by the Australian Government and aims to develop the dementia care skills of existing and future health professionals.
Auspiced by Alzheimer’s Australia South Australia, we remain the only non-University based Dementia Training Study Centre. Our partners include all major tertiary institutions in South Australia and the Northern Territory, as well as Aged and Community Services SA and NT, and other professionals involved in major dementia projects.
We utilise a consumer based approach to determine the development and review of our programs to ensure we are meeting the needs of the sector. Through this approach we deliver knowledge and up-skilling opportunities for health professionals to provide appropriate services and care that support quality of life for people with dementia, their family and carers.
