LGBTI Elders

LGBTI Elders

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) people are the last column of diversity in inclusive workplaces.

The release of the LGBTI Ageing and Aged care strategy and the amendments to the Sex discrimination Act 2013 have highlighted the issues for LGBTI Elders and brought them to the attention of the aged care sector.

This presentation will explore who LGBTI elders are, their lived experiences and the impact of these on their experiences accessing services.
