Cultural Diversity and Dementia: Promises and Pitfalls in our Understandings

Understanding the impact of a person’s cultural background is a crucial aspect of providing high quality dementia care.

This presentation gives a brief overview of research that has occurred on this topic in Australia, outlining key findings and exploring some of the hazards and limitations of our current understandings. The presentation also outlines some current initiatives, including the work of the National Cross Cultural Dementia Network.
