WA seminar, October 2013 – Overview of Dementia Behaviour Advisory Management Service, (DBMAS), with case study

A WADTSC seminar presentation by Donna Harding and Jennifer Edgecombe from DBMAS, Alzheimer’s Australia WA, on 16 October 2013.

The Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Services (DBMAS) is a state-wide service funded by the Department of Social Services.  The service is provided by a team of experience health professionals based at Alzheimer’s Australia WA. The aim of DBMAS is to improve quality of life and care for people with dementia and their carers where the behaviour of the person with dementia impacts on their care. DBMAS provides information and advice, assessment of the person with dementia, short-term case management and interventions and the delivery of tailored education workshops and training.
