Allied Health Leadership-development Program (AHLP)

QLD DTSC in collaboration with WA DTSC is conducting an Allied Health Leadership-development Program (AHLP)  which will provide training for two AH professionals from each state/territory in a train the trainer /’championing’ role.

The AHLP will focus on assessment of functional and cognitive abilities and devising and implementing strategies that enable use of remaining abilities and support for limitations using the Hierarchic Dementia Scale (HDS). The aim is for each of the participants to play a leadership role in integrating this approach to assessment and planning care within their jurisdiction or organisation.

Heather Freegard (WA DTSC) will facilitate the AHLP training workshop in Brisbane in February. Application is by expression of interest and due by 12 noon, Monday 19 November 2012.
