- Many factors such as hypertension, smoking, physical activity, education, social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and diet are potentially modifiable.
- Modification of most of these factors has other health advantages, increasing the potential benefits of modifying the individual’s lifestyle.
- Difficulties in furthering clinical research and the need to base choices on available evidence
