Australian Journal of Dementia Care

Australian Journal of Dementia Care Vol 1 No 1The Australian Journal of Dementia Care (AJDC) is Australia’s first and only multidisciplinary journal for all professional staff working with people with dementia in hospitals, nursing and residential care homes, day units and the community.

Launched in May 2012, the journal is committed to improving the quality of care provided for people with dementia, by keeping readers abreast of news and views, research, developments, practice and training issues from Australia and around the world. Until now there has been no authoritative publication which brings practitioners, academics and dementia-focused organisations together.

The AJDC is the Australian version of the UK Journal of Dementia Care, one of the world’s most influential dementia-related publications, which has been linking research with best practice and providing challenging points of view for the last 20 years.

The AJDC draws on the best and most relevant articles from the UK Journal, but gives priority to making Australian research and good practice accessible to all those involved in the care of people with dementia. The AJDC is a project of the NSW/ACT Dementia Training Study Centre.
