This lecture is open to healthcare professionals involved in the care of people with dementia. This presentation will look at the results of the largest prospective study of risk factors for falls in dementia as well as pilot intervention outcomes.
More importantly, it will give practical and pragmatic advice on what to do now to minimise falls and risk of harm in people with dementia in the community, hospital and residential aged care settings.
