Health professionals working in residential aged care settings are encouraged to attend, particularly those caring for people living with dementia.

Overview of presentation

On November 2nd 2015, the Severe Behaviour Response Teams (SBRT) were launched nationally. This unique program, funded by the Federal Government, is a mobile workforce of clinical experts, skilled in treating behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. Upon request, the SBRT provide timely and expert advice to residential aged care providers, to address the needs of people with the most severe and extreme behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

This presentation will provide an overview of the service model, and some case studies to highlight how the service operates.

If you would like to participate in this one hour information session, you will need:

  • A computer with a speaker connected to the internet
  • You do not need a camera or microphone
  • You will be able to type questions to the presenter during the presentation via a questions window. We will endeavour to answer as many questions as possible.
