Hierarchic Dementia Scale-Revised (HDS-R) Workshop – Travel grants available

The WA Dementia Training Study Centre (WA DTSC) will be holding a full day training workshop on the Hierarchic Dementia Scale-Revised (HDS-R)

WA DTSC is offering ten (10) travel assistance grants for WA organisations located more than 250kms outside of Perth to assist health professional staff members attend this workshop.

Registrations for this workshop are invited from tertiary qualified health professionals working in acute, residential or community settings, particularly those responsible for assessing people with dementia and creating care plans.

Workshop objectives:

  • Understand the underpinning theory of the HDS-R
  • Demonstrate ability to assess people with dementia using the HDS-R
  • Combine the results of HDS-R assessments with a Possibility Oriented Approach to provide person-centred interventions.
