Caring for a person with advanced dementia has common issues that relate to the care of any person with a life limiting illness, but it also has a set of issues that are unique to dementia. In this seminar Scott and Shannon outline some of these issues, particularly anticipatory grief, needs of the primary carer of the person with dementia, challenging behaviours and terminal care.
