Behaviours such as aggression, pacing and wandering can be distressing for the person with dementia and the staff or carers.
This course provides opportunities to:
- Understand behavioural responses in people with dementia
- Gain knowledge of a Person-centred approach to enhance wellbeing
- Reframe our attitude about behavioural responses in some people with dementia
- Learn problem-solving strategies for behaviours of concern.
Plus a screening of the DVD Understanding the Brain and Behaviour by Dr Helen Creasey. A clear and easy to understand explanation of the changes that occur in the brain and the impact this may have upon behaviour.
