THIS WORKSHOP IS FULLY BOOKED

The WA Dementia Training Study Centre will be holding a full day training workshop on the Hierarchic Dementia Scale-Revised (HDS-R) for revision / Train the Trainer workshop for users of the original HDS .

Registrations for this workshop are invited from health professionals working in acute, residential or community settings, particularly those responsible for assessing people with dementia and creating care plans. Content is suitable for experience users of the original  HDS who would like to update to the HDS-R.

Workshop objectives:

• Understand the underpinning theory of the HDS-R and the changes from the original assessment
• Demonstrate ability to assess people with dementia using the HDS-R
• Combine the results of HDS-R assessments with a Possibility Oriented Approach to provide person-centred interventions.
• Learn about the forthcoming HDS-R computer app.
