The NSW/ACT Dementia Training Study Centre is offering a 1 day workshop on designing dementia-friendly aged and health care facilities, to provoke a new appreciation of what the built environment can do to improve the persons with dementia’s experience.
The workshop will:
- Look at both acute and residential settings.
- Look at ways the environment can care for people living with dementia.
- Provide an introduction to audit tools and apply them to case studies.
Who should attend?
Facility managers, clinical and allied health managers, architects, health planners, project managers, health professionals, architects and design consultants.
Cost:
This initiative is fully funded by the Department of Health.
