Recognition for QLD DTSC Director

Congratulations to Professor Elizabeth Beattie who is to be inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing at their Annual Policy Conference in Washington DC in October this year. The Academy’s fellows are nursing’s most accomplished leaders in education, management, practice, and research. They have been recognised for their extraordinary contributions to nursing and health care. The Academy will Induct 163 Nurse Leaders this year from the USA and 14 other countries.

Prof Beattie was also inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame at the society’s 26th International Nursing Research Congress in Puerto Rico, in July, this year. She is Director of the QLD DTSC, Director of the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre (DCRC) – Carers and Consumers, and Professor of Nursing at Queensland University of Technology (QUT)
